Talk about Vaughan Williams – Marriner, Boult, Wordsworth - Orchestral Works. Fantasia On Greensleeves / The Lark Ascending / Tallis Fantasia

Lanionge
I have heard many recordings of Vaughan Williams' music. This one is my favourite! There are some fine alternate versions of 'Fantasia On A Theme' but this one by Barry Wordsworth is among the best I've heard. This one's in the same league as the ones by Davis, Barbirolli, Boult and Marriner. The version of 'The Lark Ascending' on this disc is unearthy and I have never heard a better one. The rest of the works are in the same league. Pristine!
